Defending champ NYCFC followed up on last week’s 6-0 win over Real Salt Lake with a 5-4 victory over Toronto FC on Sunday. Jesús Jiménez had given Toronto a 2-0 lead with a pair of perfect finishes but Valentín Castellanos  pulled one back for the host before halftime. NYCFC stormed to a 5-2 lead with second-half strikes by Thiago, Santiago Rodríguez, Keaton Parks and Gabriel Pereira — before the late goals from Deandre Kerr and Michael Bradley.
