Argentine club Velez Sarsfield has filed a complaint with FIFA over Manchester City’s signing of 16-year-old midfielder Benjamin Garre.
It says the English club tried to sign himwhen he was only 15, which would have violated FIFA rules. “Never have I experienced such an immoral act,” said Raul Gamez, Velez’s president.
Since Garre holds anItalian passport, he could sign with Man City when he turned 16. It denies any wrongdoing in the case.
