• Chicago Fire retains Georg Heitz and Sebastian Pelzer. Heitz, the sporting director, and Pelzer, the technical director, will return for a fourth campaign in Chicago even though the Fire again failed to make the playoffs. Ishwara Glassman Chrein has left the Fire, due to personal reasons, after serving as president of business operations for the last 18 months. FC Lugano CEO Martin Blaser will serve as interim president of business operations, overseeing the business functions of both organizations. (Fire owner Joe Mansueto bought the Swiss club in 2021.)
