Dan Woog, who writes weekly for Soccer America in addition to coaching the boys varsity team at Staples High School in Westport, Connecticut, will receive a Letter of Commendation from United Soccer Coaches, which he has served as a longtime leader of its advocacy groups. Woog, who has chaired the association’s LGBTQ+ and Allies advocacy group since its inception, is among the five recipients who will be honored at the 82nd annual Coaches Convention in Kansas City.
