[USA-PANAMA] Panama will be without FC Dallas striker Blas Perez for Tuesday’s World Cup 2014 qualifier against theUnited States. The Canaleros’ leading scorer with 10 goals in 14 World Cup 2014 qualifiers was not on Panama’s flight that arrived Sunday morning in Seattle after suffering from gastroenteritis.

Perez, who has 29 goals for Panama, started Friday night in the 0-0 tie with Mexico. He is the only player who will be missing on Tuesday. None of the nine Canaleros carrying cards into theMexico game were carded.

Perez was the only MLS player in the Panama team, though three former MLS players started against Mexico: left back CarlosRodriguez (who played on loan with FC Dallas) and midfielders Marcos Sanchez (recently released by D.C.
