[NASL PREVIEW: Week 10] The expansion New York Cosmos have opened up a four-point lead in the NASL’s fall season with three straight wins and six games in a rowwithout a defeat heading into Saturday’s game against Minnesota United FC at NSC Stadium on Saturday evening.

United is one of three teams along with the Tampa Bay Rowdies andCarolina RailHawks holding down second place behind the Cosmos, whose winning streak began with a 1-0 win over Minnesota three weeks ago.

“First of all, Minnesota is a very goodteam,” said Cosmos coach Giovanni Savarese. “They presented some difficulties when we played them at home and we were fortunate to come away with the win. So weknow this weekend will be a good challenge from them.”

Tampa Bay takes the best road record of the season — only two losses in 10 games — into the Florida derby against the FortLauderdale Strikers at Lockhart Stadium.
