Marcelo Bielsa won’t be coaching Italian club Lazio after all. Two days after his contract was submitted to the Italian league, the Argentine coach nicknamed “El Loco” informed theRome club he won’t be coming after all. Last season, he quit as coach at French club Marseille after one game.
“We note with amazement the resignation of Mr. Marcelo Bielsa …in a clear violation of the commitments undertaken in the agreements signed last week,” Lazio said in a statement released on Friday.
Lazio appointed former striker SimoneInzaghi as his replacement, at least on a short-term basis.
