Italian coach Gianni De Biasi has guided Albania, a country of 3 million with no history of soccer success, to the 2016 European Championship. One of the key elements of Albania’s new-found success isthat for the first time De Biasi flew around the world to find eligible players — as far as China and Australia to watch 148 Albanians and ethnic Albanians from the Balkans who were either born orraised mainly in western Europe or playing elsewhere.
