La Liga is predicting total revenues of $3.58 billion for 2016-17, an increase of more than $1 billion in the last five years. Real Madrid and Barcelona, Spain’s two biggest clubs, generate 37 percentof the total revenue for La Liga, which is a distant second to the English Premier League in terms of being the most profitable league in Europe.
