Yaya Toure on Tuesday escaped an automatic three-match ban for violent conduct after the Ivorian allegedly kicked out at Norwich striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel during ManchesterCity’s 0-0 draw with Norwich at Carrow Road on Saturday. Earlier, Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho hit out at Toure’s retaliation, calling on the FA to suspend him for hisactions. “If Toure is not suspended, the message is clear — players can do what they want if the referee doesn’t see the incident. If the FA defends football, he has to be suspended,” the Portuguesesaid.
