In an interview with CNN, Argentina’s 1986 World Cup winner Diego Maradona insists that he is the best soccer player in the country’s history despite theongoing, record-breaking career of 27-year-old countryman Lionel Messi. While Messi is “killing it with his goals” for Barcelona and Argentina, Maradona insists: “my goalswere more beautiful.” The 54-year-old adds that Messi is still “finding his own style…Most likely he will find it very soon.”

  1. Starting??? He’s Needed Help for a Long … But on this point, I tend to agree with Diego…His Goals were more Spectacular than Messi..And he did It numerous times, on 5 different teams…Including Argentina, Messi has yet to prove himself at that level. .. Messi without Barca, not soooo Scary

  2. Dribbling past cones to score a goal shouldn’t a “Goal of the Century” make, even if those cones happened to be wearing English jerseys at the time… Maradona was a fine player, but thirty years is thirty years.
