• Concacaf’s Disciplinary Committee handed down suspensions to four players for misconduct during the USA-Mexico semifinal match at the Nations League: three games to Weston McKennie (USA) and Cesar Montes (Mexico) and two games to Sergiño Dest (USA) and Gerardo Arteaga (Mexico).
• The suspensions are in addition to the automatic one-match suspensions the players received for their red cards. The suspensions will begin to be served at the next Concacaf event. Montes and Arteaga are with Mexico at the Gold Cup, but McKennie and Dest weren’t selected, so they aren’t impacted.
• The U.S. and Mexican federations were both fined and warned of more severe sanctions if there is a repeat of the behavior.
