
Good morning! Late last night came word that MLS referees have ratified a new Collective Bargaining Agreement, ending a lockout that has covered the first five weeks of the 2024 regular season. The Athletic’s Pablo Maurer, who broke the story, reported that PSRA officials could resume work this weekend. It can’t come soon enough. The labor strife was disappointing because it overshadowed the respect the American refereeing community has earned around the world for the work of men and women on the field and in VAR booths and the programs PRO has launched, notably its implementation of Video Review.
