Wayne Rooney will earn his 115th cap against Iceland on Monday, matching David Beckham’s record for the most appearances by an England field player, but he says he won’t be happyunless England makes it past the quarterfinals.

“It’s great to keep getting records, but in terms of what is happening in this tournament, it’s not really important tome,” he said. “I think I can look back on things like that at the end of my career, but the next two to three weeks will be more important for us as a team. We are not playing to just getto a quarterfinal, we want to win it”
