Southern California product Sasha Victorine, who played a decade of MLS ball, for the Los Angeles Galaxy, Kansas City and Chivas USA after starring for UCLA, has retired.Victorine, most recently a midfielder for Chivas USA, played in 242 MLS matches and had 32 goals and 41 assists. Recurring injuries are what led to his decision to retire.
“I feel luckythat I was able to play in front of my home fans for so much of my career,” Victorine said in a news release. “I am now eager to start the next phase of my career.”
Victorine, 32, isjoining the front office of the Kansas City Wizards and will also serving as a color commentator on the team’s television broadcasts.
