Primary Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the development of coaching and soccer educationprograms and curriculum. Responsible for providing D, E and Youth Module Courses to meet the needs of MSYSA’s coaching population and ensure that the courses follow US Soccer Course requirementsand policies. Responsible for providing recreational courses and recreational training for registered coaches of MSYSA. Responsible for conducting license courses as well as supervising courseinstruction by other State Coaching Staff. Train/oversee/manage State Coaching and ODP staff. Responsible for the development and promotion of the Olympic Development Program. Responsible for thedevelopment of MSYSA educational materials, MSYSA coaching manuals, MSYSA coaching resources, etc. Assist in the development of team interest in the Midwest Regional League, Michigan State PremierSoccer Program and MSYSA state tournaments and events. Provide information to those who have ODP, coaching and coaching related inquiries. Provide expert answers and support regarding small-sidedgames and other formats of play. Maintain MSYSA’s ODP and Coaching database. Work with the MSYSA Executive Director on the development and monitoring of the ODP & Coach Education budgets.Disseminate media releases relating to ODP & Coach Education. Provide written monthly reports for MSYSA Board of Director Meetings. Develop and publish an overview of the ODP and Coaching Programsfor distribution at MSYSA’s Annual General Meeting to the membership of MSYSA.Develop and implement coaching workshops, seminars and other educational programs for the benefit of MSYSA members,clubs or leagues. Responsible for developing, conducting and staffing of MSYSA (day and overnight) camps. Any other duties as specifically assigned by the MSYSA Executive Director. ReportingStructure: Reports directly to the MSYSA Executive Director.
