“Growing up in a Mexican-American household and being introduced to their support by watching Mexico games with my family, that’s what kind of inspired me. That inspired me to play. I grew up watching Mexico. We’d get together with food, have a barbecue. I’d wake up early or stay up late for games at the World Cup.”
