[SCOUTING REPORT] Jhon Estama and midfielder Evens Saint-Jean, who play together on the New York Red Bulls' unbeaten U-17/18 team in the Development Academy and at New Jersey's Columbia High School, are among the players on Haiti's U-20 national team that opens play against the USA Monday at the Concacaf U-20 Championship.

French-based Renald Metelus (Le Havre) and Duckens Nazon (Lorient) complete Haiti's foreign contingent.

Haiti won its group at the Caribbean qualifying tournament to advance to the 12-team finals in Puebla.

Tab Ramos on Haiti:

"They're a very technical team. They move a lot without the ball and they're very honest workers on the ball and without it. I truly believe that Haiti's going to be able to compete well. I think that they would have the same goals we have, which is to get out of this group. The start of the tournament is a very tough matchup for us. And the key is going to be in us trying to keep the ball away from their two central midfielders. They keep the ball well and they distribute for the whole team. If we can win our matchup in the middle of the field, we're going to be in good shape."

I have a question regarding the opening statement of this article, "Jhon Estama and midfielder Evens Saint-Jean, ... play together on the New York Red Bulls' unbeaten U-17/18 team in the Development Academy and at New Jersey's Columbia High School...": How can this be so, considering U.S.Soccer's accursed prohibition against development academy players also playing on their high school teams?
