[MLS HOMEGROWN WATCH] Bryan Salazar could take something positive away from Tuesday’s scrimmage in which his HoustonDynamo academy team fell to the club’s senior team, 11-0.

The Fort Bend Bush High School senior finalized a homegrown contract with the Dynamo after he met with head coach Dominic Kinnear and Dynamo president Chris Canetti after the game. He’s the fifth academy player to sign with the Dynamo.

Salazar had good scoring chances in both scrimmages the Dynamo had with its academy team.

The Honduran-American is the leading scorer for the Dynamo’s U-17/18 team with ninegoals in 14 games.

Salazar previously spent three years with the U-15/16 team. He was a major part of U-16 squad that won 2010 Dallas Cup title, scoring the game-winning goal inHouston’s first win of the tournament and was on the field for game-winning goal in the 2-1 win over Santa Clara Sporting in the championship game.
