In 1966, when England won its only World Cup, its players feasted on typical English English fare, sausages and chips. Now England’s players have more gourmand tastes, requesting such items assushi on the menu.

The freight sent ahead to England’s base at the Royal Bafokeng sports campus, included 10 kilos of Japanese rice and wasabi paste. The English players certainly liketheir food hot, as evidenced by the 100 bottles and tubes of hot sauce they’ll have to choose from.

Their diet won’t make a nutritionist entirely happy. England has brought 600 cans ofRed Bull and 500 bags of potato chips. And for breakfast there will be Coco Pops, not exactly what Fabio Capello had in mind for a morning meal.
