[MLS] Midfielder Brian Carroll, who won two MLS Cups titles (D.C. United 2004 and Columbus Crew 2008) and fourSupporters’ Shields (D.C. United 2006, 2007 and Columbus Crew 2008, 2009), is headed from the Columbus Crew to the Philadelphia Union in exchange for a conditional second-round pick in the 2011MLS SuperDraft and allocation money.
The 29-year old Carroll attended Wake Forest and began his professional career in D.C. United after he was picked in the second round of the2003 SuperDraft. In 2007, he was traded to the Columbus Crew for Kei Kamara.
