Five players scored for the U.S. U-20 women’s national team in a 5-0 friendly win at Honduras. The Michelle French-coached squad was in San Pedro Sula for a seven-day camppreparing for the Honduras-hosted Concacaf U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying tournament in December.
French’s young squad, without its college players, took the lead in the fifthminute on a strike by the San Diego Surf’s Marley Canales.
Zoe Redei (Eclipse SC, Ill.) and Ella Stevens (Gwinnett SA, Ga.) scored beforehalftime. Brianna Pinto (CASL, N.C.) and Jordan Harr (Dallas Sting) finished off the rout in the second half.
