He was hired from Stony Brook Universityto replace longtime women’s coach Rudy Meredith, who resigned after last season and later accepted a plea deal for his part in the nationwide admissions scandal that rocked college athletics.Faherty’s departure followed a report in the Yale Daily News. Faherty’slawyers said their client denied the allegations.
