The Saudi defender suffered facial injuries in a horrific collision with his goalkeeper, Mohammed Alowais, in stoppage time of the Green Falcons’ 2-1 win over Argentina. Alshahrani collided with Alowais, who struck him in the face with a knee, and his head then hit hard on the turf.
