1. Reign FC has signed defender Taylor Smith, who is expected to miss the 2019 NWSL season while she recovers from an ACL tear sufferedwhile playing for Newcastle Jets in Australia’s W-League in December 2018. Smith was undrafted out of UCLA but earned a spot on the U.S. national team for her play with the Western New YorkFlash in 2016 and North Carolina Courage in 2017 after the Flash moved to North Carolina. She was traded to the Washington Spirit in 2018 but lost her spot as a federation player after the season.
