1. Argentina and Colombia have been confirmed as the co-hosts for the 2020 Copa America. U.S. Soccer had proposed that it host an Americastournament in partnership with Concacaf and Conmebol, but the latter organization has gone ahead with plans for a 12-team tournament. The 10 South American members plus two guest teams will compete intwo groups of six: Colombia plus Brazil, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru and one of the guests for games in Bogota and Medellin; Argentina along with Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay and the other guest formatches in Buenos Aires and Mendoza.
