1. MLS teams will be wearing Parley eco-friendly uniforms during Earth Day weekend (April 19-21). It will be part of an adidas initiative totransform plastic waste collected on beaches and in coastal communities into high-performance sportswear. MLS clubs and league office staff will work on MLS Works’ Greener Goals project to identifyways to reduce the MLS’s greenhouse gas footprint and raise awareness about environmental issues.
2. Alianza de Futbolannounced a four-year partnership with Univision Deportes to showcase Allstate Sueno Alianza, the scouting program for talented Hispanic youth across the United States. Univision Deportes willcover the 2019 Alianza de Futbol tour in 10 cities, beginning with the May 25 event in Atlanta, and create a special one-hour program to show the highlights of the scouting program.
