[WPS] The first-year Western New York Flash won the Women’s Professional Soccer’s regular-season championship and with it the right to host the leaguechampionship game on Aug. 27 at Sahlen’s Stadium in Rochester, N.Y. Both the race for the regular-season title and fourth and final playoff berth went down to the final day. The Boston Breakers’ 2-0win over Sky Blue FC thanks to two early goals from Lauren Cheney earned them a trip to magicJack in Wednesday’s first-round game.
