
Gene Kenney, who coached Michigan State to back-to-back NCAA men’s co-championships in 1967 and 1968, passed away on June 8 at the age of 94.
Kenney, whose background was in wrestling, coached the Spartans for 14 seasons (1956-69) and finished with a record of 120-13-13.
