[MLS INJURY REPORT] Houston Dynamo Mark Sherrod, one of the most promising rookie forwards in MLS, underwent reconstructivesurgery on Wednesday for a torn ACL in his left knee that will sideline him the remainder of the 2014 season.
The 6-foot-3 Sherrod was selected by the Dynamo in the second round ofthe 2014 MLS SuperDraft out of the University of Memphis. He appeared in nine games (three starts) for the Dynamo, tallying two goals and one assist. Sherrod’s size made him a valuable option upfront.
