• • Houston Dynamo Football Club promotes Jessica O’Neill to top post. O’Neill was named president of business operations for the club, which includes MLS’s Dynamo, the NWSL’s Dash, Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park. She joined the organization as Dash president in March 2022.
  • • Chicago Fire makes Carvana jersey sponsor. The auto retailer will also become the presenting sponsor of Chicago Fire Discovery Centers, a talent identification platform created to build upon the Fire’s existing scouting network
  • • USL League One to launch in-season cup competition. The 2024 season will consist of regular season (down to 22 games), playoffs and a new cup. The 12 teams will play eight games in group play and four teams will advance to the cup playoffs. Shootouts will be introduced to break ties after regulation.
  • • Current sells out season tickets for 2024 regular season. Kansas City’s 2024 campaign will be the first at 11,500-seat CPKC Stadium, the first women’s soccer-specific stadium built by an NWSL team. For each game, 2,000 seats will be made available for sale.
