Mexico, which will open against the USA in Women’s World Cup qualifying on Oct. 4, named a preliminary roster of 24 players and began training with 11 players at the Mexican federation’straining camp in Mexico City. Other foreign-based players will arrive from their clubs before the team leaves for the United States on Sept. 30.
