The MLS youth league that arose in the wake of the U.S. Soccer DA’s demise has added 19 clubs for a total of 113. They’re comprised of 30 professional MLS academies, five USL academies and 78 non-proacademies — for a total of more than 11,000 players. There will be six age groups: U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19. MLS also announced the league’s governance structure.
