The Houston Dynamo rallied for two goals in the second half and beat Sporting Kansas City, 2-1, opening up a three-point lead on San Jose and a four-point lead on Real Salt Lake and FC Dallas in thebid for the final two playoff berths in the Western Conference.
An own goal by Sporting Kansas City defender Erik Palmer-Brown put the Dynamo ahead in the 77th minute.Houston equalized on a goal by young Argentine Tomas Martinez in the 63rd minute.
