Three months after his last appearance, Charlie Davies returned to action on Sunday with the New England Revolution in a 3-1 loss at Orlando City. It followed the revelation that Davies, whohad survived a near-fatal car accident in 2009 and whose wife give birth to twins three months premature in March, was diagnosed this spring with liposarcoma, a rare form of soft tissue cancer that isnow in remission.
