Good morning! The USA’s 18-player Olympic men’s soccer team – 15 under-23 players and three wild-cards – will be announced this morning on NBC’s “Today” show. The opening game on July 24 will mark the USA’s return to Olympic men’s soccer after an absence of 16 years. The match will be played in Marseille, and the opponent will be a big one: host France (coached by Thierry Henry). Given the USMNT’s early exit at the Copa América, the spotlight will be on Marko Mitrovic’s youngsters, who won’t get a bigger stage to make a case for inclusion on the senior team.
