Good morning! Through the years, Soccer America has had players write first-person stories about their lives abroad. The first we worked on was Tom Kain at small German club Union Solingen in 1986. Christen Press wrote 50 pieces, mostly on life in Sweden. Reina Bonta’s SA Confidential piece here on life at Brazilian club Santos is equally brilliant. Reina is the daughter of California Attorney General (and former U.S. U-20) Rob Bonta and like her dad, played soccer at Yale. She competes internationally for the Philippines.
