Good morning! A little more than eight weeks. That’s the time U.S. Soccer has to find a replacement for Gregg Berhalter before the USMNT plays its next game: a Sept. 7 friendly against Canada (coached by Jesse Marsch!) in Kansas City. It’s lightning-fast compared to the most recent USMNT coaching searches: Berhalter was initially hired in December 2018, more than 13 months after Bruce Arena’s resignation in Couva’s aftermath. Berhalter then waited more than five months after his initial contract expired before he was re-hired in June 2023.
