Good morning! Most American pro leagues have two seasons – regular season and playoffs. Very simple. MLS has five seasons. The 2024 regular season began two weeks ago, and two weeks before that the first team, Vancouver, kicked off in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup, which moves into full gear this week with eight MLS teams in contention. Later in the year there will be what’s left of the participation in the U.S. Open Cup (down to eight first teams), Leagues Cup (all 29 teams) and finally the playoffs (again 18 teams). Not so simple to follow.
