

Good morning! All 14 Americans registered for the league stage of the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League played on teams that reached the knockout stage, which begins today. A 15th has since been enrolled for the playoffs: Wisconsin teen Esmir Bajraktarević (PSV). A record 12 Americans played in the league stage, where they combined for 12 goals and six assists, an unprecedented total for the U.S. contingent in Europe’s biggest club competition. The previous record: four goals and three assists for the entire 2020-21 season that ended with Christian Pulisic, then at Chelsea, lifting the trophy.
