Good morning! The 2024 Super Bowl will pit the Kansas Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11. The Chiefs are owned by the Hunt Sports Group, owner of MLS’s FC Dallas with ties to pro soccer dating back to 1967. The NFL championship game in Las Vegas will mark the eighth straight year at least one Super Bowl team has an MLS owner. (Both teams had MLS owners in 2015, 2017 and 2019.) The 49ers have their own soccer connection. Their owners assumed majority control of English club Leeds United in 2023.
