Klinsmann recalls Maradona's 'Live is Life' warm-up

Speaking to the 46 teenage finalists of the 7Up Sueno Alianza National Finals presented by Verizon, Klinsmann recalled:
“There were 70,000 people in the stadium and Maradona went on the field. We’re on the other side of the field, warming up like Germans: seriously, focused. …
“There’s music playing, the song 'Live is Life,' and to the rhythm of the song Maradona started juggling the ball. So we stopped our warm-up. What’s this guy doing? He’s juggling off his shoulders. And we couldn’t warm up anymore because we had to watch this guy."
A 3-3 tie -- Klinsmann scored the first goal -- gave Napoli a 5-4 win on aggregate over Klinsmann’s VfB Stuttgart.

What's sad is that a player like Maradonna wouldn't even get a chance on Klinsmans USMNT.
Really, Jack? Who are you thinking of? Or are you just a Klinsmann (two ns) hater? The USMNT's success under him speaks for itself. He's a winner, and now we are too. There is a connection there that even a dimwit should be able to see.
Must say I disagree Jack. Klinsy has moved the USMNT far in the direction of technical over physical. Intelligent, aggressive possession is at a premium. It will take some time before we get there, but the direction is clear.

Reminds me of my son's high school soccer coach. My son was warming up by juggling and he told him to stop playing with the ball !!! That was 20 years ago. How many of those coaches are still around?????
Jack, seriously? The man is 52 years old and likely unable to keep up with the younger players. If, however, you believe that a Maradona in his prime would not play under Klinsmann...Jack, seriously?
