At the UEFA Development Tournament in Prague, the U.S. U-16 boys beat Hungary (1-0) and Venezuela (4-0) after a 1-1 with the Czech Republic, which won the PK shootout, 7-6. The USA, comprised of 2003-born players, were coached by Portland Timbers Academy Technical Director Larry Sunderland, who was assisted by LAFC Academy coach Cristiano Scapolo and former Real Salt Lake coach Jeff Cassar.
