The second leg of the Club America and Guadalajara semifinal series, featuring Mexico's two most popular teams, drew 2.5 million viewers and ranked as the No. 1 program on broadcast television among adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 and the No. 2 program among all viewers.
The game was the second in a Saturday doubleheader. The Leon-Puebla and Club America-Chivas games delivered an average audience of 1.9 million.
The first leg of the Chivas-America series averaged 1.5 million viewers on Telemundo, which acquired rights to Chivas home games in 2020-21.
Until the SuperClasico second leg, the most-watched game on U.S. television in 2020 was the final of UEFA Champions League between Bayern Munich and Paris St. Germain, which averaged a Spanish-language record 2.05 million viewers on Univision in August.
