United rallied to beat the host Charleston Battery, 2-1, and clinch the Carolina Challenge Cup after two games. It was the third straight year D.C. has won the title. In Wednesday’s opening game,the Chicago Fire, missing six players on international duty, beat the Columbus Crew, 1-0.
