Virginia is the new No. 1 in the weekly Soccer America Women’s Top 25 rankings. Preseason No. 1 Florida State dropped to No. 6 following its 3-2 loss at Florida. Stanford, North Carolina andNotre Dame moved up to 2-3-4, while Florida is now No. 5.

Of the four new teams in this week’s Top 25, unbeaten and unscored-upon Duke, which beat and tied ranked teams last week, is ranked thehighest at No. 16. Also new this week: Rutgers, Long Beach State and California.
