Assistant coach Karina Báez will serve as interim head coach of the Chicago Stars for the remainder of the 2026 season, replacing head coach Marin Sjögren, the Swede under whom the Stars have managed one NWSL win. Former Stars head coach Lorne Donaldson returns as interim director of coaching. Also, Chicago has hired Nicole Lukic as a full-time assistant coach.
