"They made six goals, but actually we gave away four, and that makes it hard because I think that we played well."

-- Toronto FC coach Aron Winter on his team's 6-2 loss to Mexico's Santos that knocked the last MLS club out of the Concacaf Champions League. (MLSSoccer.com)

Anyone else tiring of the excuses? MLS teams go away to foreign stadiums and get trounced in meaningful competitions. I really don't understand why the Mexican teams don't do the same when they are playing in the MLS home stadium. This whole respect playing away thing is a crock. I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't some deal with MLS and FMF to play nice for the MLS home part of the leg. Oh please, lets not make it so obvious that were are so inferior else we might lose fan interest. Well you already did.
