The Tar Heels recovered from allowing a goal by Misei Yoshizawa in the second minute to defeat the Hokies in Chapel Hill. Ernest Bawa led UNC with two goals, including the game-winning goal in the 44th minute.
 
No. 8 Pitt 1 No. 9 Louisville 2 (OT)
After 103 scoreless minutes, the game came to life in the second period of overtime with three goals in just over two minutes, Mason Tatafu and Damien Barker for the Cardinals and then Joao Souza.
