[MLS PREVIEW: Week 1] The news that Brazilian forward Gilberto, the first of Toronto FC’s offseason Designated Playersignings, didn’t travel with the club to Seattle for Saturday’s opener because of a hip flexor injury is not a good sign. No Brazilian who entered the league as a DP signing has ever played a fullseason in MLS.
